THE STORY OF A PHOTOGRAPHER

My journey started in 2013 when my husband bought me a little point and shoot camera for my birthday. He told me to photograph all of the things and show him. So I started out photographing the flowers in my mom's garden and the dogs she had. I showed everyone the photos I was taking because I was so proud of them. That led to my first paid gig as a photographer; my coworker's pregnancy announcement.

I then decided I was going to take a few photography classes in college while I was earning my degree. After a few years of not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, I started my artistic journey. I decided to study graphic design and read that photography was a good skill to have as a designer. After my introductory class, my professor told me I should consider applying to the program. Fast forward to two and a half years later and I graduated with my Bachelor's in Fine Art with a dual concentration in Graphic Design and Photography.

Since art school took so much of my energy, I took two years off to "discover" myself as an artist. Someone asked for my help photographing a wedding and that day made me remember just how much I loved being behind the camera. So I sat down and came up with a game plan to continue my photographic journey. Now I'm back in the game and taking as many pictures as I can. When I'm not out photographing for clients, I'm in nature prancing through the trees just shooting away.
